President Trump is looking at the January 6 joint session of Congress as his last chance to “stop the steal.”

But President Trump may be on the verge of getting some bad news.

And one senator just revealed this group of Republicans is plotting to sell out Donald Trump.

At the joint session of Congress on January 6, multiple members of the House of Representatives intend to object to results of the Electoral College alleging massive fraud stole the election from Donald Trump.

However, they need one senator to join them to force debate on their objection and a vote.

Minnesota Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar told MSNBC that conservatives intended to object to the results in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

“Do I believe our Democracy will prevail? I do, but literally, we have to go through each state and if in the ones they appear to be targeting, which is Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, if they’re joined by just one senator. Then we have a two-hour debate in each of the chambers followed by a vote,” Klobuchar stated.

Klobuchar said that even if a Republican senator objected, the Democrats had the votes in the House to shutdown the debate and that the Republicans that claimed Joe Biden won the election would provide the votes in the Senate to certify the controversial results of the Electoral College.

“We know that Speaker Pelosi has the votes to prevail, and in the Senate, a number of Senate Republicans have said that Joe Biden won this election. But nevertheless, he could string this out by getting senators to vote for hours and hours. We believe each objection could take something like four hours because of the voting procedures in the House,” Klobuchar began.

Klobuchar claimed President Trump was conning his supporters and was engaged in a vanity exercise to cause chaos and raise money.

“And I just think this is just an example of him creating more chaos, wanting to discredit the election, and really ruin what has always been a peaceful transition of power to the next president. You didn’t see Al Gore doing that. You didn’t see many other people who were in worse situations. I don’t know why he is doing this. I think it’s just for his own ego and riling up his base. But in the end, I believe democracy will prevail,” Klobuchar added.

President Trump has consistently argued that if Democrats thought the election was stolen they would pull out all the stops and Republicans should follow suit.

And in fact, California Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer objected to the results from Ohio after liberal activists falsely claimed voting machines switched votes from John Kerry to George W. Bush.

President Trump and his supporters understand that the odds of success are long.

But they want to see the Republican Party fight like the Democrats would.
